This procedure describes how to invite a user to your TDengine Historian deployment in TDengine Cloud and how invited users can activate their account and begin using TDengine. Once you invite a user, they can access your instance by logging in with their email address and password at idmp.tdengine.com.

In your TDengine IDMP instance, click your profile in the top right and select Admin Console.

From the main menu on the left, select User Management > Users. Then on the right, click the + (Invite User) icon.

Enter the email address of the user that you want to invite and click the + icon to add a role. Each user must have at least one role.

If desired, you can click the Elements Allowed to Access field and specify which elements the invited user can access. If you do not specify any elements, the invited user can access all elements.

Click Save.

The user that you invited will receive an email that contains a link to activate their account.
When they click this link, they will go through the account creation process and set their name and password.
Afterward, the invited user can access your TDengine Historian instance by visiting idmp.tdengine.com and logging in with their email address and password.
