TDengine’s core technology is developed in-house, with patents covering areas such as high-performance storage, real-time processing, time-series data models, and Industrial Ontology. Its core code is independently developed and does not rely on another open-source database or third-party core software. The TDengine TSDB kernel is open source under the AGPL license and has surpassed one million installations worldwide, supporting a global developer community.
